Overview

Theatre is an ancient tool: far from being a simple performance space, it can also be experienced as a laboratory for experimenting with other forms of action. Not a place for ‘pretending’ – but a place of truth. A place where the human being can revive the enigma of being a living body, on the edge between the visible and the invisible. Working in tandem with Gestalt therapist Marie José de Aguair, we’ll be looking together for that form of intelligence we might call organicity.

When a human being connects to the organic current, his or her attitude changes. It is no longer the mind that directs and the body that obeys: intuition and action become one. Often the actor – that is, the human being in action – is the first to be astonished: it’s me, and at the same time it’s something else. He realises that he is whole, while at the same time relating to others. Vulnerable and majestic at the same time, he is no longer trying to express something: he is. Through research on the body and the voice, this work will be an opportunity to recharge our batteries, take time out for ourselves and reconnect with our roots.
